A little about me

I am a Clinical Psychologist, Licensed in the state of Pennsylvania and I have 20+ years experience in the field of psychology.   I work with a variety of clients, including children, adolescents and adults.

Families often come to see me for the treatment and / or diagnosis of behavioral issues.  Behavioral issues can be related to autism, ADHD, anxiety, depression, adjustment difficulties, or other problems.  When working with children, it is often important to work with the child's parent / caregivers, so be prepared to be an active part of your child's treatment.

I also provide treatment for adults who have behavioral and / or mood difficulties that can be related to problems such as depression, anxiety, loss, trauma or anger.

This website is designed to quickly answer questions you may have when you are considering making an appointment.

If there is anything I haven't covered, please drop me an e-mail and I will try to respond to you promptly, generally within 2 business days.  You can also call me at 412-719-0957.  If I don't answer personally, please leave a confidential voice mail and I will return your call.

Getting Started

Currently, I see clients during the week, typically Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday's in the afternoons and on Wednesday mornings. There are a few evening appointments available, but these are quite limited.

If you decide you are ready to schedule an appointment, please feel free to visit the forms page on this web site, print and fill out either the ADULT or CHILD and bring them to the first visit, or email them to me via a secure email at Kim.hoffman@dormontpsychservices.com   This is not a requirement, but it may help save time during the first appointment, and it will help you become familiar with some of the information that will be covered.

Whether you complete the forms or not, it is necessary to contact me, preferably by phone, to arrange an initial, in person, meeting.
